SRA Associates harassing calls
Personnel from SRA Associates (apparently a collection agency based in Bridgeton, NJ - (856) 497 - xxxx number) have been ringing my phone off the hook for weeks looking for somebody I don't know. When I explain that they have the wrong number, they continue to question me.
And the calls keep coming. Associates are quite rude, but typical for the business. Losers that can not find jobs elsewhere because of their *** personalities. The FCC regulates this type of use and needs to fine or take their phone service away from them.
Please stop these jerks from harassing the innocent law abiding citizen.

COLLECTION CLAIM
I received a notice from SRA that they are working on behalf of Hyundai to collect a disposition fee and excess wear and tear for years I have done business with Lester Glenn Hyundai and have never had this issue when exchanging one lease with another when I called SRA associates and poke to their agent she got very short and abrupt told me they sent me detailed descriptions of excess wear and tear and pictures which I never did receive when I turned in car dealership never said anything about wear and tear and there was no excessive wear and tear on vehicle the finance agent said they would take care of disposition fee as they have done in the past. I do not need to be harassed by these agencies

Harassing calls
SRA calls a wrong number and person day and night to harrass me.
Violation of SCRA 50 U.S.C App 527
SRA Associates just recently called me and informed my wife that my SCRA porotection ended in 2/2010. However under Title 10 orders as an Activated Reservist until I get off Title 10 orders I am still protected under the SCRA.
The issue started back in 2008 when Chrysler repossed my vehicle illegally according to the 50 U.S.C statutes which stated they must have a court order. This all stemmed from me being injured in the line of duty and having my pay messed up for about a year. Chrysler was notified on all the issues that had occured yet they accelerated the notes and did a repo without the court order. The military acknowledged their mess up and accepted responsibility in writing sent to Chrysler.
Other than being an injured soldier which had issues beyond his control my J.A.G office did send correspondence to Chrysler about the 50 USC 527 statutes and Chrysler never responded. Now I get a call from SRA Associates claiming to be a law firm and threatening court action unless we come up with this exorbent sum of money.
The issues with this whole case are.
1) Claiming to be a law firm calling from a number that cannot be called back on.
2) Violation of the SCRA Soldier Civil Relief Act 50 USC 527 Federal Law codes.
3) Stating my protection under the SCRA has ended when they do not know the facts. Any Reservist under Title 10 order whether Conus or OConus is techinically deployed.
4) Stating that my J.A.G officer would collaberate that my protection has ended when I just talked to them last week about the case and they stated its still enforced.
5) Claiming that the originel lender does not have to respond to correspondence from the lendee when it referrs to their account on both a Federal and Civil level. The original lender being Chrysler financial.
6) Being made aware that I have retained an attorney in pursuit of legal action against Chrysler for violation of Federal law. With knowledge that they could be brought into the law suit for harrasment.
7) Refusing to further acknowledge the law and enforce the SCRA code in conjunction with the interest reduction to 6% pursuant to the Federal code. Instead kept it at the 18% once they "defaulted" my loan without the court order knowing several issues occured beyond my control and the military acknowledged they had made the mess up in writing.
SRA harassment
SRA, a debt collection agency, continues to harass us over a 5 year old claim against our son who moved out years ago. He signed for a girlfriend to purchase a new car.
His credit was immediately turned down but the Chrysler dealer sold the car to the girl anyway. She made only one payment and the car was repossessed. Collections agencies immediately descended upon our unemployed, student son.
Our attorney says that not only has the statute of limitations run out on this debt but that our son was NEVER liable for it. We are preparing to sue them now.

Under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the only purpose debt collectors may call someone other than you is to determine your location which under the law means your address and telephone number both at home and at work. If they already have this information, then a debt collector is not legally allowed to call anyone other than you regarding the debt.
If you have debt collectors calling people other than you, then the debt collector may be in violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
To resolve this issue, the first step would be to file a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. The Complaint form can be found here: http://www.consumerfinance.gov/Complaint/#debt-collection
After filing a Complaint, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau will investigate the issue and if it finds any instances of wrongdoing, it may take enforcement actions against the debt collector which may include fines.
What you are describing is conduct that violates the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). You should contact an attorney and sue.
