No one should ever give them a penny and I'll tell you why. They called me and wife this morning.
They refused to provide information about themselves or the reason for the call. Tell them to put whatever it is in writing and hang up. These companies BUY other companies bad debt. Debt car and credit card cos assume can't be collected or is too small to persue (like less than $1k).
Sometimes this "debt" is the result of fraud or bad accounting. The reason you should never pay them is that the original company that you may have had a relationship with ABANDONED the claim and sold it. You have ABSOLUTELY no business connection to this company. This is different from a debt collector who is HIRED by a company to seek payment.
At this point you couldn't pay the original company back if you wanted to!
It's a scam. File a complaint with your state AG if they keep bothering you.

DEBT COLLECTION
VERY HATEFUL TRIED TO GET US TO NOT PAY OTHER DEBTS AND PAY THEM. WE BOUGHT A CAR ON LEASE.
HAD TO TURN IT IN CAUSE I GOT SICK WITH CANCER. HAVING TO PAY CANCER BILLS CANT AFFORD CAR!! THERE ARE HOSPITALS AND DOCTORS IF YOU DONT PAY THEM THEY WILL STOP SEEING YOU, HATE FUL RUDE PEOPLE. LIE TO YOU ABOUT ANYTHING!!
WANTED MY SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER, NO WAY!! I THINK YOUR PEOPLE SHOULD BE TRAINED BETTER THAN THEY ARE. VERY DISRESPECTFUL. WE WERE TOLD WHEN WE LEASED THIS CAR IF WE EVER HAD TO TURN IT IN IT WOULD ONLY BE 800.00.
GOT THE BILL AND IT WAS ALMOST 10,000.

Bad Customer Service
While I'm not angry with the company, I am surprised on how they handle business. This company calls nonstop and wont leave any messages.
I don't use my phone at work so I miss all their calls. I happen to see a call during my lunch and picked up. I pleasantly asked what this was referring to. They refused to say, but kept repeating they have to confirm my SS#.
I laughed and thought this is 2017. Who falls for this scam? I stated I'm not going to give my SS# to a complete stranger, but thank you for trying. If they wanted my services, please contact me via mail.
I was told, "No, I'm calling to speak to you." I said, "Have a good day" and hung up. At no point did the caller say it was in regards to a debt. At no point did they say why they were calling or who their client is. They call every day.
I finally looked up their number and came across this website. A 'charge off' less than $250 that I and the vendor agreed to.
I'm surprised a collection agency was involved, however, I open all my mail including junk mail and flyers. There's no excuse not to contact me via mail.
Brainless hustlers!
There is a statue of limitations which is 2 years. Mention that to them. Tell them they are in TCPA and FDCPA violations.
Unbelievable Client Reps
SRA has been calling me for several months. They demand personal information from you, without ever identifying the nature of the call or the reason why they are calling.
No one in their right mind would give out there personal information with no reasoning or explanation. I received notification in the mail for a outstanding debt. I made a payment plan after 3 years of a voluntarily repo. Now this company randomly comments on my credit report that I am working hard to repair.
They deemed the account a "charge off (one in which Toyota does not expect to collect on), yet this company keeps harassing me. If the associates would present themselves in a more empathetic way and actually showed concern for resolutions, I am pretty sure you would recoup debts.

There all bottom feeders and need to get a life and your not obligated to deal with them in any way they all make commission on all these debts they buy and jack them up. Deal with the company you have the debt with and pay them not these *** bag bottom feeders who make money on your old debt they will always except payment regardless of the situation

That's why so many people have made complaints against sra Associates and filed law suits against them as well . There bottom feeding *** like all the other ones and buy old debt and try to collect on it what a joke to everyone when they call you dont answer the the phone and block them that's the best thing to do and move on no worries dont let these *** stress you out they have attorneys you can hire to go after them if needed plenty of people have sued them all ready .
